The photo used just under the heading ‘Spanish Conquest’ goes against Wikipedia’s image use policy that states “The purpose of an image is to increase readers' understanding of the article's subject matter” and “The relevant aspect of the image should be clear and central.” This painting is from the 19th century and does not aid in the understanding of the conquest, it should be an image of a map or painting of a strategic battle, etc. I’m proposing deletion. Yes, an 18th century painting of a national hero depicting Spain and the Philippines has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH SPAIN AND THE PHILIPPINES. All the photos have been removed since I am not aided in understanding. Also most of the text that does not matter. The Philippines is clearly too far away from Spain. -- OBSIDIANSOUL 09:09, 4 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
I’m not referring to an 18th century painting, please re-read my paragraph. It also is not of a national “hero”, unless you call the backsides of two females a “hero”. Why do you pretend not to understand anything on purpose? CMD007 (talk) 09:59, 4 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
@CMD007 The picture of the two women is the 19th century painting. You could have figured that out by reading the file description page or even just the caption. The figures in the picture represent Spain and the Philippines. 163.1.15.238 (talk) 16:28, 4 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
