Vocaloid lead me here

edit

I was wondering what this chemical was since it appeared at 1:17 on this new song, Mesmerizer.

The song has a lot of themes surrounding hypnosis, and I was wondering, does this chemical have any relation to hypnosis or mind control or something? 13 Rats (talk) 22:18, 1 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

@13 Rats Same here. 178.200.88.173 (talk) 00:58, 5 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
@13 Rats Honestly, i'm kinda sad that the Mesmerizer mention was removed from the page, seeing as it's probably the biggest exposure to public consciousness that Phosphoribosylaminoimidazolesuccinocarboxamide has ever had. 178.200.88.173 (talk) 01:03, 5 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Look at the synthesis page for the chemical and look at the depiction of the protein synthesis. It looks like Teto's and Miku's hair intermingled. 99.90.16.124 (talk) 22:04, 6 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
There must be something further with this specific chemical, as there is a TON of other chemicals that start with the letter P, so why did satsuki pick this one 13 Rats (talk) 11:29, 8 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
From something I saw in a comment, this chemical is used in the fast-food industry (for meat if I remember correctly) and both of miku and teto’s outfits are related to fast-food (diner/hostess outfits) and that’s why this chemical was used 2605:B100:518:BC86:D816:78E1:CF1D:F6F7 (talk) 14:50, 14 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Interesting. I guess we know now. 13 Rats (talk) 11:30, 15 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
It also had to have the fourth letter be S for the 'fourth letters spell SOS' thing, but even then they could've gone with Purse or something. KirbosPlanet (talk) 14:50, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Media References subsection (Reference to Vocaloid)

edit

There seems to be some debate about whether or not the compounds presence in media, specifically the song "Mesmerizer" is deserving of a subsection for this article.

I am lead to believe such a section is entirely relevant to the page. There is a reason "In Popular Culture" subsections exist in the first place, and this happens to be it. I believe here a more relevant subsection would be "In Media" or "Media and Entertainment". A simple example would be the city Albuquerque, New Mexico having a section dedicated to media in which it has appeared.

I would like to also add the clear fact that a large number of people are viewing this page for that reason. This page is a stub - this is incredibly relevant information especially given that there is little else to say about the chemical.

I thought it better this debate be settled through conversation than through edits and reversions; although looking at how said edits have been reverted prior at least demonstrates that the other view is significant. 131.111.5.193 (talk) 19:57, 22 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
