The sentence "In 1959, Piaggio came under the control of the Agnelli family, the owners of car maker Fiat SpA." is repeated twice in the article. Once in the "Development" section and once in the "Under new ownership" section. Tweisbach (talk) 02:56, 10 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Tagged as confusing. Needs rewrite.

edit

This article needs an overhaul. Is it a machine translation from Italian? Much of the history is confusing and grammatically incoherent. And it needs clear source citations. Probably best to spin of the lists of models to some other page. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 21:31, 17 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Previously claimed as fourth, in order of production numbers we have, in 2008: Honda, Yamaha, Jiangmen, Suzuki, Loncin, Bajaj, Jailin, Jianche, Lifan, ACEM, HMSI, TVS, Harley, Kawasaki and then Piaggio. So they may have moved a place or two, but they are a long way off fourth. Mike163 (talk) 08:39, 18 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Ligier

edit

Back in 2003 User:Egil added Ligier -- what is the connection? Also Piaggio Porter... this was a Daihatsu once branded as a Piaggio? --Dennis Bratland (talk) 21:46, 17 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Deletion of Models paragraph

edit

What do you think of deleting the section paragraph?

I think it's better because:

1) is very difficult to keep updating the list of models 2) even if it were, we would have a very long list 3) many models are out production 4) we already have the list of the brands — Preceding unsigned comment added by F.orsano (talkcontribs) 07:24, 10 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
