editI moved this page to change the title to Pick-N-Pay Supermarkets which is the way the company's title was styled during its time in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area. I was also concerned that the subject of this article not be confused with a company or with companies using a similar name (South Africa?) and styled Pick 'n Pay. Remove link
editI removed the link formerly used for the Stop-N-Shop name at the end of the first paragraph because the link incorrectly directed the reader to a WP article on the Stop & Shop chain in New England. The Stop-N-Shop Association of Cleveland, referenced in this article as a competitor of Pick-N-Pay Supermarkets, Inc., was a buying and marketing cooperative which lasted from the late '50's until it and its component companies were purchased by Giant Eagle of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the late '80's. Stop-N-Shop never reached out beyond the Northeast Ohio area. The Stop & Shop to which the removed link formerly pointed was a New England chain which ultimately became one of Ahold USA's North American properties. This company never reached out into Ohio. Orphan banner removed
editI have removed the orphan banner for this article. The article is now linked by entries in the articles List of defunct retailers of the United States and Finast. — Preceding unsigned comment added by NorthCoastReader (talk • contribs) 04:04, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
