Origin of Name
editI before E except after C#Allusions includes this sentence: "Until the 1930s, Pierce City, Missouri was named "Peirce City", after Andrew Peirce. A 1982 attempt to revert to the original spelling was rejected by the United States Census Bureau.[30]" (reference: United Press International (1 September 1982). "Bureau sticks with 'i' before 'e'". The Bulletin (Bend, Oregon): p. 15. Retrieved 28 February 2011.) Is it okay to just copy and paste this line and reference into this article, since nothing is mentioned at all about the name, or does it have to be reworded?
