Pierre Etaix - illustrator.

edit

I have a book, Monsieur Hulot's Holiday. The author is Jean-Claude Carrière, it is 'With Illustrations by Pierre Étaix', translated from the french by A.E.Ellis, published by Heinemann 1959, originally published in France, 1958 by Robert Laffont. It is a novelisation of the film, very good, and the illustrations are excellent. There are approximately 90 illustrations, small black & white line drawings. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.12.254.92 (talk) 03:06, 20 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sources for the article (currently) are rather below Wikipedia standards, namely an apparent fan site www.lesfilmsdetaix.fr and the IMDb bio page. What exactly was the copyright dispute that kept the films in a vault for so long, and how was it resolved? Here are a few sources to be incorporated into the article:

Readability/clarity?

edit

At least this sentence makes no sense: "During the summer of 1969 he made the land of plenty on 16mm film for which he is reviled by critics who does not forgive his sad for the development of the consumer society, the day after May 68"

And that aside much of the article reads as if it was google translated into english from french. Can someone go through and proof read for clarity please? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.77.151.201 (talk) 01:00, 31 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
