fluorescence detector directions

edit

About File:Layout of Pierre Auger Observatory.svg. The FD directions are given in dark blue. Per FD station (there are 4), there are seven directions in the graph. However, documentation says that there are six Fly's Eyes per location, in six bays. So if I am correct, there should be only six blue lines raying out for the FD's axis. As it is now, the lines show a sort of demarcation between two FDs, but I don't think that is a correct way of depicting. -DePiep (talk) 10:52, 11 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

This is how we have always presented it: the lines denote the respective view-fields of telescopes, so there are 6 telescopes per 180 degrees. The vertical field-of-view is from 1.5 to 30 degrees above horizon. Darko.veberic (talk) 13:41, 10 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
