Piet Retief, South AfricaeMkhondo – Bold move was reversed for no reason. Name was changed in 2009 and reliable sources regularly use the new name.

  • Weak Oppose. Ngram data for up to 2019. Ngram shows many mentions to Piet Retief (the person and the city), but no mentions of eMkhondo, which is significant as it is claimed that the city's name was changed to eMkhondo in 2009. Google News searches show that eMkhondo and Piet Retief are now about equally common as the name of this city in news stories:
