Expert needed

This article needs the attention of a skilled wordsmith who also has some expertise in the subject of PIO. At present, the article is an assembly of isolated paragraphs - there is no organisation to the presentation of information. It gives the impression of having been visited by a number of individual editors and each one has added his favorite bit of information on the subject. The article also contains numerous colloquial expressions:

• As such it is a coupling of the frequency
• In a controls sense
• The problem has been mitigated in some cases
• cause the aircraft to climb, say, by applying up-elevator
• A pilot aiming for a 500 foot per minute descent, for example, may find himself descending too rapidly
• A natural reaction to this is to push the nose down harder than one pulled it up, but then the pilot ends up staring at the ground.

At present, the article looks too much like a guide-book. WP:NOT shows that WP is not a guide-book or a text book. Dolphin (t) 11:10, 24 July 2011 (UTC)

Dead link to Air Force white paper

The link in the References section titled "Air Force white paper which includes definitions and history of PIO problems" links to the URL https://research.maxwell.af.mil/papers/ay2004/afit/AFIT-GAE-ENY-04-M16.pdf, which returns a "site can't be reached" error. I have found the paper at another link https://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.669.9089&rep=rep1&type=pdf and propose to update to this publicly-available link.0dj0bz (talk) 01:23, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

Content needs references
