This is a continuation of a pre-existing discussion, now at Talk:Pine Barrens (New Jersey)
I do not, and did not, agree that this page should point to List of pine barrens. I regard it as bad economy, and encouraging bad links, to redirect this to the dab page rather than the page to which (even by Mwanner's calculations) 80% of the references to Pine Barrens refer.
There are two choices:
- one causes at least 80% of the redirects and lookups to go to Pine Barrens (New Jersey), where they want to go, and leaves the rest one click from the dab page - since Pine Barrens (New Jersey) has a dab header.
- The other dumps everybody on a dab page; at least one click from where they want to go.
The choice between these seems clear to me; Mwanner disagrees. I will notify Robert A West as a third voice; Mwanner is free to call a poll if he thinks anyone else cares, and agrees with him - I doubt both myself, but I may well be wrong. Septentrionalis 18:30, 2 September 2005 (UTC)
- Tell you what-- I'm out of energy to fight this. Also, your addition of a link to the dab at the top of the Pine Barrens (New Jersey) page makes this approach easier to accept. Fini -- Mwanner 16:03, September 3, 2005 (UTC)
- Much obliged to you, Sir. Feel free to reopen the discussion without prejudice, should your energy return. Septentrionalis 16:35, 3 September 2005 (UTC)
