Definitions of "Topsides" and "Steel Jackets"
editCould someone with knowledge of exactly what these are perhaps add a bit more info about these two concepts? There's nothing in the body and the terms are used several times throughout. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.78.62.195 (talk) 00:59, 3 May 2017 (UTC)
- I've linked the first (I think) occurance of both terms in the article, so hopefully that will help clarify matters. -- Finlay McWalter··–·Talk 11:28, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
Records
editSome lift performed by the Pioneering Spirit are described here as records. However, other float overs have taken place in the past with higher weights. Boskalis recently performed the Aasta Hansteen float over of 24,300 ton.[1] Technip has performed float overs up to 18,000 ton.[2] Wheatstone was a 36,000 ton float over, while Arkutun Dagi was 42,380 ton, both with the H-851.[3][4] I therefore think this should be rephrased. - The key words here are "...other float overs...". Pioneering Spirit is not a traditional semi-submersible heavy lift vessel. Tupsumato (talk) 10:28, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
Indeed, therefore calling this records is comparing apples with pears. BoH (talk) 13:44, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
