27 or 28 Settlers?
In 1790, nine of the mutineers from the Bounty, along with the native Tahitian men and women who were with them (six men, eleven women and a baby girl), settled on Pitcairn Islands - But according to the Source for the Population Table: The majority of Pitcairn Islanders are descended from the nine mutineers of Bounty who, led by Fletcher Christian, landed there in 1790 with six Polynesian men, twelve Polynesian women, and an infant girl.
