Piteå IF announced the agreements with three Canadian internationals. The deals with goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé, who was Canada's third keeper in the Olympics last year, and forward Brittany Timko, who played her first big championship for Canada already 2003, hasn't been the best kept secret. The third player is the 20 years old midfielder Kaylyn Kyle, who got her first caps for Canada a year ago in the Four Nations competition in China. Kyle replaces Candace Chapman, who was close to a deal with Piteå before she was offered a three year contract by the WPS club Boston Breakers.
The club has been cautious and made contracts that can be cancelled after three months. Sport director Håkan Norberg says that these signings completes Piteå's roster, "at least for the spring series".Wolfmann (talk) 20:51, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

– Per WP:COMMONNAME and WP:PRIMARYTOPIC the top level female team should be at Piteå IF, not the male team who ply their trade deep in the bowels of the regional amateur ranks. This request follows a recent similar move at Talk:Tyresö FF. In this case it looks like a retired editor whose first language is not English gave this page its peculiar "ladies team" [sic] disambiguator in 2009. Support - straigthforward common-name and primary topic. Though this isn't a merge discussion, I would also support merging this isn't one article. Mentoz86 (talk) 09:11, 28 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
