Can we rename this to Amish plain sects, so as to distinguish them from the very similar Old Order Mennonite. DJ Clayworth 16:12, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
- The author definitely put a long time in the article, and I am glad this person is interested in Amish culture. However, I think it should go under Amish something but what I don't know. It is a second Amish article, so if we want two Amish articles... perhaps we could call it Old Order Amish :) An article on the Plain sects I believe would be complicated. In just North America you have various Conservative Mennonite groups (who knows how many!), including Mennonite groups that came from Russia such as the Kleingemeinde, and the Old Colony, there are the various Hutterite groups, the various Amish and Beachy Amish groups, historically plain groups such as the Dunkers, the Amish-Mennonites, the Quaekers, all Mennonite groups, and who knows what other plain groups existed in Asia, Europe and around the world since time began. To say the least, I dont really know who would want the job of improving this article. Perhaps even the Puritans were plain, and the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is plain too. Stettlerj 21:40, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
