Restored the Plamen Goranev article content

edit

There are lots of cited sources, including foreign ones. This guy has acquired for many Bulgarians especially, but others as well, the status of Czech Jan Palach. Paavo273 (talk) 03:09, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Notability

edit

'Have added cited material which easily establishes notability under general WP standard WP:Notability: "If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list." This subject has received big coverage in English media, and I have barely touched foreign, especially Bulgarian media. "Notability is not temporary; once a topic has been the subject of "significant coverage" in accordance with the general notability guideline, it does not need to have ongoing coverage." There's no doubt even from the English-language sources I've just cited that this subject has entered the Bulgarian public consciousness and acquired a Jan-Palach-like status in Bulgaria. Photo anybody?

Does anyone have a copyright-free photo of the man to contribute to this article? It would be much appreciated!

Re anonymous removal of source-cited material

edit

Absent some WP rule I am not aware of, the basis for removing the material with three cited sources appears to be nonsense, most likely simple vandalism, albeit vandalism NOT without an ulterior motive.

AFAICT, the only issue may be whether the source qualifies for use on WP, which IMHO all three clearly DO.

Nevertheless, ASSUMING your owning the URL gives you the right to remove the URL as a source--which seems extremely doubtful, it seems even LESS likely you own the URL to the New York Times AND the Vienna Review AND the Sofia News. (To go way out on a limb, assuming you can cite a WP rule that allows you to control the use of a URL that qualifies as a valid WP source, you should remove ONLY the URL you have the right to remove, and ADD a need citation tag if applicable.)
