Induced Systemic Resistance

edit

We are blueberry farmers in Zimbabwe and we are trying to raise plant resistance to pest and diseases as part of our quest to remove chemical spraying of crops. Amongst other activities, we have been adding EM solutions, tricoderma and compost teas to our potted blueberries and have noted a big increase in brix levels of leaf sap. It appears that insect resistance is much improved and we observe caterpillars, for example, that stop feeding and starve. The incidence of disease this year has been notable. It could be weather related and much of our season has been drier than previous seasons, but is it possible that high brix is an indicator of ISR and if so, what could we do to build that resistance?
