editthis is a horrible picture, the bulk of the muscle is at the knee —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.189.24.146 (talk) 14:16, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
Lateral supracondylar line
editI removed the link from "Lateral supracondylar line," as it linked to the lateral supracondylar ridge of the humerus page, whereas it may have been meant to link to the lateral supracondylar line of the femur. I didn't replace it with a link to the latter, because that page doesn't yet exist.
Needs sources
editThe source cited is a dead link. The concept that in other mammals plantaris is used for gripping is confusing and needs a source to be credible. The idea that 9% of people are born without it also needs a source. Should those ideas be taken out? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.188.167.241 (talk) 19:27, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
This picture is in error. I believe what is shown as the "planatis" is the plantaris tendon, which is attached to the plantaris muscle. The plantaris muscle is attached to the gastroc, which is the calf muscle. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tiomarcos (talk • contribs) 14:29, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
Observation
editHello, I was trying to edit this article. But the fourth image under the "additional images" has the labels for medial and lateral gastrocnemius reversed. You should fix it. Thanks Angelus (talk) 12:40, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
