Plaza Nueva, Vitoria → Plaza de España, Vitoria-Gasteiz – Plaza de España is more common than Plaza Nueva (hits in Google for some local newspapers: 4960 vs 1290 El Correo, 2560 vs 1630 Diario de Noticias de Álava, 1020 vs 421 GasteizHoy). Also, the name of the city used in the English Wikipedia is Vitoria-Gasteiz, not Vitoria. Santi2222 (talk) 21:09, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
- Support. Although those are Spanish-language sources, which may prefer one name over the other, with es:Plaza de España (Vitoria) and eu:Plaza Berria (Gasteiz) (Berria=Nueva). However, it could indeed be considered to follow WP:USENATIVE, if there are too few English-language sources, and per WP:MLN follow Spanish usage as it is the predominant language of the city. Of the few English language sources I found, these use/prioritise Plaza Nueva [1][2], while these use some form of Plaza de España [3][4][5][6][7][8]. While Vitoria-gasteiz.org uses both, although listed proposed first (possibly alphabetically though) [9][10]. So a little lead for the proposed, and per the article the proposed is the name used by the council. Although more indepth analysis would be appreciated. Regardless of the outcome of the RM, the disambiguator should be Vitoria-Gasteiz to match that article, per MOS:GEO, WP:NCGN and WP:CONSISTENT. DankJae 20:36, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
