Why the genus change?
editI never heard about this bug changing genuses. Is there anything I’m missing out on? LM0418 (talk) 18:01, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
- The latest I can find is this "Additionally, Bartlett et al. (2014) did not acknowledge that Nast (1951) had placed the fulgorid Poblicia fuliginosa (Olivier, 1791) in the genus Crepusia Stål. After a review of the genera Crepusia and Poblicia Stål, we recognize that P. fuliginosa may not be correctly placed at the genus level, but we dispute that this species belongs in Crepusia. Unfortunately, many of the New World genera (and species) in Poiocerini are incompletely characterized and the best placement of P. fuliginosa is not readily determined without review, and possibly reapportionment of species, of several other genera." - now cited in the article and moved back to Poblicia until clarity emerges.
