importance?
editThese Most Played PMN Songs on Podcasts-numbers aren't that high at all. Are we sure that it' s currently the primary archive of podsafe music ? Or can one just say so when one has such a narrow definition of podsafe, so that only PMN meets it. I don't know very much abou this topic. JanCK 13:07, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- Re: the Most Played PMN Songs... I believe the numbers are significant in that they show which songs and - more importantly - which artists have benefitted from this service. The top artists on that list - especially Brother Love and Matthew Ebel - have attained marked success, due in some part to the exposure they received through podplay. are they selling
editI didn't find that on the homepage. Are they giving you this music for costfree usage on podcasts? Or are they selling the right to use it? I saw prices of 0.99 US-Dollar on the webpage but Podsafe#PMN_definition_of_.22podsafe.22 says something about free usage. JanCK 13:07, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- If you sign up on the PMN website as a podcaster and you have a show, you can download any song ont the website for use on your show. I also believe that any user has the option of searching the PMN for music and purchasing selected songs for $0.99 US each, though there are very few songs actually for sale in this manner. But no, there is no cost for downloading and playing a song on your podcast. Doc502 21:43, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
