Question (heading added)

edit

Why did the Pokemon Center New York ban the figurines:

  • Jynx
  • Elekid
I think Jynx was banned because people seem to think it's supposed to resemble a black woman - which may, in a way, seem racist. I don't see it. And Elekid was probably banned because of its resemblence to a plug (kids might wanna plug it in). This may not be the case. Just a theory. MasterXiam 06:43, 13 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Inconsistency

edit

The text says there are four Pokémon Centers in Japan, but it lists five. Was this a typo? Ron Stoppable 00:10, 5 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

I think it's more likely it's an archæism (is that the right word?) The part saying that there are four in Japan was written before the 5th one opened, while the list was written after it opened.

Reorganization

edit

The intro was too long, and repeated stuff that was already within the "In the Anime" and "In the Video Game" subtitles, so I just copied and pasted that stuff into their respective sections. The problem is that now the sections themselves are repetitive, so I tagged the article as needing cleanup. I'm writing this here because there isn't a "Cleanup:redundant or repetitive" tag.

Fair use rationale for Image:PokeCenter.jpg

edit

Image:PokeCenter.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Deletion

While I agree that the information on Pokemon Centers in the video game and anime is clearly not notable, the page itself should be moved to an article called, Pokemon Center (store) at which point it would be throughly expanded so that it would meet Wikipedia Start Class standards. Information on the store is notable, it was located on Rockefeller Center in which only 19 buildings can reside at once, and the area was given a National Historic Landmark. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kurowoofwoof111 (talkcontribs) 14:09, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I thought over this for sometime. Per Naming Conventions Pokemon centre (store) cant exist if Pokemon center doesnt. But I pasted all the store in pop culture of Pokemon. Ultra! 16:02, 24 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Pokémon Center Pic

edit

The picture in the article is actually the inside of a Pokémon League, consisting of the acctual league (through the back way), the Pokémon center (top-left counter), and PokéMart (top-right counter). Not sure if this still counts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.218.12.31 (talk) 00:40, 21 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

You are correct, so technically it is not the best image for this article. Artichoker[talk] 00:58, 21 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
