In any case, the etymology of Polhov Gradec should be addressed at the Polhov Gradec article, not here. According to Snoj (Etimološki slovar slovenskih zemplepisnih imen, 2009, p. 318) the name of the town is derived from the surname Polh or Povh, and this in turn probably from polh 'dormouse', although perhaps from the name Pavel 'Paul'. However, this does not mean that the castle's name means "castle of the dormouse's little castle"[1]; it simply means "Polhov Gradec Castle" (just as the Prešeren Award cannot be said to mean "proud guy's award" by etymological derivation).
