I-153BS

* I-153BS - this version was armed with four 12.7-mm (0.50-inch) machine-guns, instead of ShKAS machine-guns.

This is in direct contradiction to the text above which states that I-153 was test-flown with two TKB-150 (Berezin BS) but in production carried only one due to the weapon's shortage (every other Soviet fighter early in the war carried only a single BS). Four BS would be a pretty hefty load (and recoil) for I-153 as well. What is your source for 4x BS claim?

Also, while the 12.7 mm to 0.50 inch coversion is numerically correct, they are different rounds and the numerical conversion is technically incorrect. - Emt147 ^Burninate! 17:11, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

Gulled upper wing?

The article states "[The I-153] reverted to the "gulled" upper wing of the original I-15". This is not quite precise. While the original I-15 had a "gulled" one-piece upper wing held in place by spars and ties, the I-153 had separate left and right upper wings fastened directly to the fuselage (as may be seen from the pictures).--Death Bredon (talk) 13:33, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
