How about "Timeline of Teutonic Order wars"?
There's no need to pile up half a dozen "Polish-Teutonic Wars (x-y)" which in some cases are already covered under other names. Also, no need to have a separate article covering Lithuanian involvement after Jogaila personal union. If we include earlier campaigns, then "timeline of TO" is the best. Should also be part of the main TO article which basically covers the 1230-1525 wars. -- Matthead discuß! O 22:13, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
- I intended this page to be a simple disambig; timeline of wars exists in form of List of Polish wars, and if List of Teutonic Order wars doesn't, it certainly should be created. Lithuanian involvement even after the union is actually needed in a separate article, I was suprised myself, but it appears that Lithuanian forces were definetly not involved in two of the biggest conflicts on that front since Grunwald (Polish-Teutonic War (1454–1466) and Polish-Teutonic War (1519–1521), and I couldn't find anything about whether was Lithuania involved or not in Polish-Teutonic War (1431–1435)). Thus it would be misleading to call them Polish-Lithuanian-Teutonic wars. I certainly think that we could use article(s) covering larger subjects, and Polish wiki has pl:Wojny polsko-krzyżackie (P-T wars article, which is misleading as it covers only the period 1409-1466) and more extensive but stubby in many sections pl:Stosunki polsko-krzyżackie (P-T relations). Therefore I suggest to leave this article as a stub, but if you want to start 'timeline...' or any related article, be my guest - I will see if I have time to contribute to them.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 22:25, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
- Well, so lets move it to List of Teutonic Order wars then, and expand with other TO campaigns, e.g. in the Holy Land, Hungary or the Baltic. As said above, I don't think there is a need to have a separate disamb only for "Polish-Teutonic War" in English usage, as other names prevail, thus the linking should be removed from the surplus "P-R W x-y". -- Matthead discuß! - Again, I suggest keeping this list here, but we can copy it and expand in that other (list) article. A cursory Google Search shows that this name is used for various wars; indeed, other names prevail but there is no harm in keeping this disambig here.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 22:49, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

What is listed by Piotrus as results of the google search are basically Wikipedia-mirrors and forum sites. Not very reliable sources
Looking at more reliable published book sources Google Book search yields the following surprising results:
- Before 1939: No books at all
- 1. 1939: Eligiusz Kozlowski, Polish Teutonic wars
- 2. 1941: The Polish Review, New York Polish Teutonic wars
- 3. 1942: Stephen Paul Mizwa, Polish teutonic wars
No books again until the 1970s and thereafter
