Shearman
editI could have sworn it was Sherman, but I may be wrong... --Alex9891 (talk) 12:03, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:FawltyTowersPolly.jpg
editImage:FawltyTowersPolly.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Separate article for Polly?
editI propose restoring the article for Polly Sherman. Basil Fawlty, Sybil Fawlty and Manuel all have their own articles. It seems out of place that Polly would not have a separate article when the other main characters do.
Polly previously had her own article, curated by a number of editors including Cacolantern, Grieferhate, IJVin and Davidhorman, and IPs 68.146.8.46, 195.194.223.25 and 94.14.148.113.
It was replaced by The JPS in 2009 and again by AnemoneProjectors in 2013, apparently without prior discussion, substituted with a redirect to the Fawlty Towers article, which includes a character summary; it was previously.
Another source to build on the character development is this discussion by John Cleese, from the BBC, accessible here.
If anyone has any comments or objections, please discuss them here. —sroc 💬 17:00, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
- OK with me, particularly as Major Gowan and the Misses (together) each have their own page. Though there is a page Polly Sherman, but the template does not go to it, having a redirect instead! Just get rid of the redirect! Hugo999 (talk) 05:39, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks, Hugo999. I've corrected the redirect Polly Sherman (Fawlty Towers) → Polly Sherman and updated the template box now. —sroc 💬 06:39, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
