Polomolok, South Cotabato → Polomolok – The municipality is the only topic of the name "Polomolok", and addition of provincename is unnecessary. Although it is added for consistency and WP:MOSPHIL reasons, successful moving of pages of the following articles:
- Aparri
- Banaue
- Barlig
- Dingalan
- Kalibo
- Lambunao
- Pulilan - moved by @Seav:
- Midsayap (the page I moved) - relatively little or no opposition
- Narvacan
- Talaingod - moved by @Seav:
manifests that WP:PRECISE and WP:CONCISE criteria weights above the consistency criterion and WP:MOSPHIL (which expectedly follows US method of cityname titles, despite that the Philippines has greater chances of having unique placenames than United States's.
But again, there's technicality so I cannot move this page directly. A request, and few discussion (to make this article move impartial), might help. Thanks! JWilz12345 (talk) 05:27, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
- Support. Per MOS:PHIL, the Provincename is added if the city has the same name with other city or municipality in the Philippines. I don't see any other Polomolok in the Philippines or in other countries. - SUBWAY 12:25, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
- Support. The province name is unnecessary disambiguation and the shorter title better fits the article titles policy. —seav (talk) 08:46, 25 December 2019 (UTC)
