In 1546 he resigned the Archdeaconry of Wells to the Crown, perhaps in anticipation of his retirement to Italy.
In 1550 he was licensed to return to Urbino, and probably left England for the last time in the summer of 1533. He died in Urbino on 18 April 1555. Does this make sense? He left in for the last time 1533, but was preparing to resign in 1546? Optymystic (talk) 12:38, 19 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
