The
editThe use of the word 'parasite' in this article does not match with the common definition (as found in parasite). Is this a specialised meaning of the word?
- Looks like a misuse of the word to me, too. Tumours aren't separate organisms, although they do possess qualities of true parasites. To avoid confusion I've substituted "parasites" with "polyps". -- Hadal 05:53, 2 May 2005 (UTC)
Could someone tell me what causes polyps?
- The NIH says that there is no sure way to prevent polyps, but see this page for some steps that may lower your risk. Invertzoo (talk) 22:14, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

Digestive polyp
editThe part "Digestive polyp" is too big. It would be clearer to create a specific page. Humpath (talk) 14:44, 1 April 2014 (UTC)

Request for clarification
editThe table in the "Digestive polyps" section contains a confusing statement.
For the "Polyp" type "Hyperplastic polyp", the column for "Risk of malignancy" contains the following text :
"if polyps are more than 100".
What does this mean? Is this a reference to a number of polyps, their size, their location, or perhaps something else?
If someone with a medical background could clarify this, it would be most helpful.
Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1010:B011:9CCB:6E63:6AA9:F387:9273 (talk) 01:35, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
