This article has some grammatical issues but its main problem is that it starts out with no introduction or context. It just jumps into the fray as if assuming that the reader is already an expert. Rather the article should be (or at least contain) a tutorial aspect. I know little of this subject and know the same amount now because I could not read the page at a beginner's level. 97.117.194.38 (talk) 23:23, 24 September 2011 (UTC)Jon
I agree. I am no expert, but I do have a degree in mathematics and still found this article wanting for context. I am considering the use of a polyphase filter in an application and was looking for a high-level description differentiating it from other approaches, along with advantages and drawbacks. - I agree with both former comments. And what is the intended meaning of:
- "If are two filters, then one level the traditional wavelet transform maps an input signal to two output signals , each of the half length:"
- in what I would consider grammatical English? Issues:
- "one": pronoun or cardinal number?
- "level": noun or verb (with -s missing)?
- "transform": noun or verb (with -s missing)?
- "maps": noun or verb?
- "each of the half length:" verb expected after this.Redav (talk) 11:45, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
