Starting article
editThe English version of Tuvaonline.RU has a lot of information on Por-Bazhyn for expanding this article [1]. It is what I plan on using, but if someone gets to it before I do, have at it! --Stacey Doljack Borsody (talk) 20:53, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Highlights

- Pictures available in commons

- There was a recent archaeological expedition and I think another one planned for this summer

Correct name in Russian
editThe correct Russian name is Пор-Бажын, not Пор-Бажың. Пор-Бажың is the Tuvan name, eg. the "real" (local) name, but Russian does not have the letter ң which is velar nasal [ŋ] so instead Russians replace it with н, alveolar nasal [n]. I tried to edit the page to correct this, but I'm not used to Wikipedia editing so I don't know how. For it to be correct, it should read "Por-Bazhyn (Por-Bajin, Por-Bazhyng, Tuvan: Пор-Бажың, Russian: Пор-Бажын)" or such. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 天人了 (talk • contribs) 18:03, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for pointing this out. I lack the linguistic expertise, so I had only re-written the archaeology bits, but had not touched the various versions of the place name at the beginning. I have now inserted the correct spellings and language attributions as per your comments, but I have inverted your sequence of Tuvan and Russian versions in order to avoid having a comma immediately after the letter ң which is hard to read and may lead to misunderstandings.
