Spread to Canada
editI would certainly suggest that the spread of PED to Canada to be a significant event, as Canada has had an excellent reputation of being a biosecurity world leader. Regards Aloha27 (talk) 01:24, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
- This virus is found in numerous countries, many of which are not mentioned here. Canada is no different than those unmentioned countries because it is not a major nuisance for pig farmers there like it is in some other countries. So regardless of Canada's supposed reputation, it is not currently notable enough to be included in this article or the disease article. ComfyKem (talk) 01:58, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
- Having spent a great deal of time in the swine health management field, The spread of the disease in Canada is particularly newsworthy IMO. The second confirmed case has been reported and a third is being investigated. Regards Aloha27 (talk) 02:46, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
