Racing car template

edit

I've had a stab at a template for racing cars (see template:Racing car) to summarise the usual data. I've used the F1 templates as a starting point and applied it to the Brabham BT46 article. If anyone's got an interest in this, please have a look at the template and modify or suggest changes as appropriate. After a few people have had a go at it and we have something we're happy with we could start to use it more widely. Note that it's not meant to be specific to F1, by the way. Cheers. 4u1e 09:37, 2 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Pictures

edit

The pictures car, labeled 804 is not the 804 which appears on this page:

The visible difference other than shpe and height of the car is that it did not use the trailing arm torsion bar suspension, but rather coil springs and concentric shock absorbers inboard.

1962

edit

Is 1962 the date the car was produced, or the season it was raced? It is not particulary clear. Chevymontecarlo. 10:31, 25 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

No it's clear - it was produced in 1962. What the article doesn't discuss is when it was used, which was 1962 by the Porsche factory team and (I think) a couple of seasons afterwards by privateers. 4u1e (talk) 11:19, 25 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
Apologies, I see it's clear now you've edited it! Thanks. 4u1e (talk) 11:26, 25 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
