Racing car template

edit

I've had a stab at a template for racing cars (see template:Racing car) to summarise the usual data. I've used the F1 templates as a starting point and applied it to the Brabham BT46 article. If anyone's got an interest in this, please have a look at the template and modify or suggest changes as appropriate. After a few people have had a go at it and we have something we're happy with we could start to use it more widely. Note that it's not meant to be specific to F1, by the way. Cheers. 4u1e 09:59, 2 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Top speed for 1978 incorrect.

edit

The article claims that the 935/78 was the fastest car on the straight at 235 mph, a factoid which seems to have little going for it. The fastest car in 1978 was the Alpine at 227.5 mph (367 km/h) in practice and 224.4 mph (362 km/h) in the race. This is according to the ACO who manage the speed traps:

If a reliable source can be found to back the claim, it should be referenced. If not, it should be removed.

I'll give it the customary 2 weeks... Flanker235 (talk) 07:50, 14 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
