Removed (re Émile Gentil) the mission he ran in the 1890s. Colonial administrators of the secular French state did not run missions! Pehaps something else was meant? -- Picapica 11:47, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
- Probably a garble, but Warofdreams didn't include a reference with the addition, so hard to say. Removing in the meantime is the correct thing to do. Stan 16:45, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
I seem to have a mental block on cleanly illustrating Wikipedia articles, so I won't mess up the Port Gentil article. However, I spent the month of August, 2007 in this city, and took over 2,000 photographs. I have uploaded a few generic scenes of the city to Wikipedia, someone who's better at editing articles than myself please feel free to integrate some or all of them into the appropriate article(s)...

- Great; I've added two of these to the article. Warofdreams talk 00:14, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Climate: Sorry, but the given lowest temperatures recorded are not realiable. Freezing temperatures at a tropical coastal station do not occur. I don't have data for the site, but I'm sure (being a climatologist) the recorded minimums are for each month clearly above 10°C (compare lowest in record with Doula some 500km north at Cameron coast). - Youre long gone, I know, but I want to thank you even so for pointing this out. A lot of people wouldnt even have noticed. —Soap— 15:58, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
