Article title is a neologism
editI think it is possible that "Portmanteau inhibitor" is a neologism coined by the researchers cited here. I question whether it is as good a choice as "Portmanteau drug" or "Dual inhibitor". Creating an article with this name may help to "establish" this neologism. Discucss? ManVhv 19:43, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- Given the epidemic-levels of the (mis)use of the word 'portmanteau' in Wikipedia already, any argument for re-naming this article is a good one. But more seriously, is the term 'portmanteau inhibitor' attested in the medical and research literature?Zero sharp (talk) 23:17, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
Sulfasalazine
editWould sulfasalazine not fall under the category of a 'portmanteau inhibitor'? It's a combination of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory...and invented many decades before this drug. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.80.64.90 (talk) 06:59, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
