Portonaccio (Veio) → Portonaccio – Doesn't seem like there's something else more famous at the name Portonaccio. WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Paul Vaurie (talk) 06:31, 13 October 2023 (UTC)

- Support per nom, also English uses Veii (the Latin presumably), only Italian uses "Veio", which will just confuse people. Johnbod (talk) 03:16, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
- Suggest "Etruscan sanctuaries at Portonaccio" instead: this article isn't about Portonaccio. It's about an archaeological site at Portonaccio—specifically two Etruscan sanctuaries there. If the current title format were kept, it should of course refer to "Veii", not "Veio" (I note that the infobox uses "Lazio" instead of "Latium", so I'm guessing that the article was translated from Italian, without Italian names being rendered in English/Latin). But as there don't seem to be any more famous Portonaccios, disambiguation isn't necessary. What is necessary is a title that doesn't astonish readers who think the article will be about a neighborhood of modern Rome, when the article is entirely about an archaeological site/ruins in that neighborhood. I agree with said statements above. It is clear that Portonaccio (Veio) is not an appropriate title, and I agree that "Etruscan sanctuaries at Portonaccio" is a better-suited title.Paul Vaurie (talk) 01:49, 19 October 2023 (UTC)- But there doesn't appear to be anything else at Portonaccio, not so much as a pizzeria, so the article is about Portonaccio. Fwiw, google maps calls the site "Area Archeologica di Veio - Santuario Etrusco dell'Apollo". Johnbod (talk) 02:37, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
- Google Maps is not relevant. However, the Italian article is titled "Santuario di Portonaccio", meaning Sanctuary of Portonaccio. The French, Spanish, and Catalan articles call it simply "Portonaccio", so actually, just "Portonaccio" would not be an inappropriate title. Paul Vaurie (talk) 21:03, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
- Comment - if there is no consensus to move to "Etruscan sanctuaries at Portonaccio", then at the very least this should be moved to "Portonaccio" since there is consensus on that move at least. Paul Vaurie (talk) 21:01, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
