Destruction
editAccording to the Sutherland bio article, the Churchill portrait was destroyed on the orders of Clemmie Churchill. According to this article, there is now evidence that the destruction was approved by her after it had happened. Both articles cannot be correct. - Sitush (talk) 14:00, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, the contradiction remains. Martinevans123 (talk) 14:10, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
- But not entirely contradictory as the main body says "the painting was subsequently destroyed on the orders of Lady Spencer-Churchill", which is supported by the source here. Martinevans123 (talk) 18:30, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
