Does anyone have a citation for the average pay? There's a 2001 report (http://www.usps.com/history/cs01/c1c-4.htm) that says that the The average pay and benefits for career bargaining unit employees is $54,481 per work year.Leuliett 20:30, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Potentially useful story
editIf anyone ever gets around to expanding this article, here is an interesting story from Slate about postal workers throwing mail away. It contains several links to similar stories, including this New York Times article from 1874. faithless (speak) 13:03, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
