Needs work
editWow, all I can say is this article needs a lot of work. It is very poorly written; it is confusing and poorly organized, and is way too informal in tone. It also needs a lot of expansion. It needs a decent introduction too - the introductory sentence is horrible. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.228.245.174 (talk) 03:04, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed. It's an important topic, too, and deserves the attention. I'll put this on my hit list and try to get back with some details once I can find some good reliable sources. Morrand (talk) 02:50, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
Telemeter
editThis page redirects for Telemeter... though is not really relevant to Telemeters, Telemetery or other sundy uses of that word. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.42.80.225 (talk) 21:55, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
- Offhand I can think of one application for Telemeter (an obsolete and non-notable pay television box) and based on the "what links here" for this page, which lists out what comes here via the Telemeter redirect, there are other applications. One refers to "telemetering seismometers" (which really should link out to telemetering, but that's another redirect here) and the other is Telemeter Glacier, where telemeter seems to be (in context) something like a surveyor's transit or theodolite. I agree that the redirects are inappropriate and I'll go break them. For what it's worth, we have an article for telemetry already which may be what you're looking for. Suggest merge
editIndividual IEEE technical standards are generally not "notable" in the Wikipedia sense. The article at C37.94 presently rehashes a lot of things related to power system automation and specific mention of the topic standard is minimal. Suggest a merge and redirect, collecting whatever text seems generally applicable from C37.94 where it's an improvement to this article. --Wtshymanski (talk) 15:13, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
