Move to mainspace

edit

Please note, that per the state of the article as it exists at 13:09, April 5, 2021, the article is still a WP:CONTENTFORK and WP:ROTM article. It needs a lot more production-specific info to help make it not be a simple fork/ROTM. In the diff link, there is nothing as of yet that is "episode-specific" that can help justify an article. I've personally been looking for articles to help in this matter, but have yet to come across much of anything. Please note too, we are in no rush, and readers currently have access to a plot summary, writer/director info, and Rotten Tomatoes score for this episode at the main page. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:13, 5 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Paintspot and Ulises1126: pinging you both since you both moved/requested a move of the draft. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:16, 5 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Potential poster

edit

Marvel has been tweeting different official posters inspired by the series. Most of them seem to be about the series in general, but this one is pretty specifically about this episode / Madripoor, so I thought it may be a good candidate for this article. - adamstom97 (talk) 21:41, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

The announcement poster did make it seem like it's a series of them, much like the "Art of" for Agents of SHIELD (with that announcement one for the entire series). This is the one that potentially could be for episode one, and this one could be for episode two (with a Comicbook.com source). Here's a Comicbook.com source for this episode's. I'm open to using all three of these, I just wish there was better sourcing for the announcement of the series beyond the tweet to indicate in the marketing section. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 22:43, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Yes, annoying that they only picked up on it after the second episode and there is no proper announcement article, but we could probably use one of those source as secondary source support for there being a series of posters at all. - adamstom97 (talk) 04:10, 9 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
My thinking would be use the initial tweet to discuss the start of the series, then follow it up with the relevant tweet for the episode in question (or Comicbook.com source for the 2 we do have). - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:09, 9 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
I’m ok with the posters if we can decide on which one's appropriate for each. Alternatively, we could have a still from each episode (Happy Ending (Schitt's Creek), a WP:GA, does this)? IronManCap (talk) 19:00, 9 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Outside of the first announcement poster, each has been released weekly for the most recently released episode, so it's not too hard to pick which is which. Also, I always tend to shy away from every using screenshots/still in episode articles because you need to have a good amount of commentary to justify why it's being used per WP:NFCC, particularly WP:NFCC#8. Posters on the other hand, while it's still good to have that commentary for them, there is a bit more leniency in using them, even for episodes (though outside of genre shows they are hard to come by). - Favre1fan93 (talk) 19:20, 9 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Yeah I'm happy to go ahead with the posters. - adamstom97 (talk) 22:14, 9 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
I'll get on that then. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 22:42, 9 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Episode restored

edit

A few days ago, the original version of the episode was restored. Do we need a source to add that to the article because I'm not seeing many reliable sources confirming it was fixed. -- Zoo (talk) 01:28, 11 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

I don't think so, since the source we have in article is saying it would be and it has. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:48, 17 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

This felt like an easy pass. Well done! ClaudineChionh (she/her · talk · contribs · email) 02:19, 15 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
  1. Is it well written?
    A. The prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
    B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation:
  2. Is it verifiable with no original research, as shown by a source spot-check?
    A. It contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline:
    B. Reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose):
    § Source spot check
    C. It contains no original research:
    D. It contains no copyright violations nor plagiarism:
No likely issues raised by Copyvio Detector.
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. It addresses the main aspects of the topic:
    B. It stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style):
  4. Is it neutral?
It represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each:
  5. Is it stable?
It does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute:
  6. Is it illustrated, if possible, by images?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content:
      1. Episode poster (non-free) is appropriately tagged.
      2. Photo of Hanoi – CC-BY-2.0.
      3. Video of Zemo dancing – link to official Marvel YouTube version.
    B. Images are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions:
      1. Photo of Hanoi – I wonder if it would be better to display this in the Design section as that's where the Hanoi train track is mentioned (instead of in Writing), but not a deal-breaker.
      2. Video of Zemo dancing – good illustration of new aspects of the character introduced in this episode (though I wish Marvel also released the 30-second version on YouTube and not that other website).
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:
