This page has nothing to do with Power engineering, but rather technicians that work in the field of heavy machines. It needs a rewrite, or alternatively, disambiguation. Power Engineers are more often than not Electrical Engineers, specifically in the domains of power generation, transmission and distribution.

In Canada Power Engineers are individuals who work with Boilers to generate steam and create electrical power. They may also work with refrigeration equipment to mechanically remove heat from areas by means of electrical power. Power Engineers have the designation PE after their name and belong to the Institute of Power Engineers. The name is valid. The above statement regarding electrical engineers is incorrect in Canada. It is required by law to have Power Engineers overseeing and operating nearly any instance in which pressure equipment is utilized....Power plants, nuclear plants, oil plants, distilleries, refrigeration plants, etc. Chief engineers at such plants are always Power Engineers.
The power engineer is diversified in many disciplines, including mechanical, thermal, chemical, electrical, metalurgical, and a wide range of safety skills.
