Capitalization
editAs I'm affiliated with the company, I won't modify the page, but it should be noted that the capitalization of Powerset (used by the company, on their website and in news publications) is "Powerset", not "PowerSet". --208.84.6.184 (talk) 21:32, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. We'll edit appropriately. And I think we can let this slide by WP:COI on something like this. :-) - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 21:41, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- If that's their capitalization, then move it to Powerset (corporation) or some such, and adjust the hat note at power set. The primary meaning of "powerset" is the mathematical one. --Trovatore (talk) 21:48, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'd also like to point out that on their web site they identify themselves as "Powerset Inc.". I'm happy to stick with "Powerset (company)" since that appears to be the standard disambiguation for a company, but in case someone wants to change it I thought I'd throw that out there. -- Atamachat —Preceding comment was added at 22:13, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Speculation in Second Paragraph
editI am the product manager here at Powerset, so I don't want to make the edits myself. . . but I thought that this quote on ads was highly speculative: "As a side result, the results would also include advertising (similar to Google's AdSense) that is more relevant and attractive to the user, and therefore more valuable to the advertiser." Right now, we aren't serving any ads whatsoever, let alone our own ads. Also, I made an edit to correct the information about Barney as CEO. Philosophygeek (talk) 22:40, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- So noted, and the sentence has been rewritten. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 07:39, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Powerset wrote this article
editAnd then pretended they didn't by having people come to the discussion page and say they wouldn't edit it.
The marketing speak is unbelievable. How does this stuff keep getting passed off as real content on Wikipedia? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.188.86.180 (talk) 05:26, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- Feel free to edit it yourself. It's Wikipedia, after all. (And the article does need work.) - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 05:29, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- I'd be thrilled to have Wikipedia editors give this article a once-over to eliminate the NPOV problems and the fact that it reads like someone did a cut-and-paste job from older versions of our Web site and e-mails. Trust me, if I had written it, it would read a lot better and have fewer mistakes =) That being said, if any editors have factual questions about the content in this article, I'd be happy to answer. Philosophygeek (talk) 00:27, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, the article is in pretty decent shape right now, I think. Philosophygeek, thanks for honoring our policies about conflicts of interest and such. I wish some other editors and companies would do the same. Good luck with your endeavors. I believe your company and concept shows promise. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 01:29, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Ephemeral References
editClicking on the URL for press releases in the references (ironically) produces: PAGE NOT FOUND (404) Sorry, but we can’t find the page that you’re looking for. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.145.187.67 (talk) 23:45, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
