Swami Pranavanda was of Jafna origin and was born in Sri Lanka. Msankarramiah (talk) 15:58, 16 June 2019 (UTC)--Msankarramiah (talk) 15:58, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
Regarding name
editPranavananda Saraswati belonged to an order that did not use Swami in the names of their monks, rather they appended Saraswati in the end. For example, the founder of Divine Life Society, Sivananda Saraswati, never used Swami Sivananda or Swami Sivananda Saraswati as alternative name. Therefore the redirect Swami Pranavananda should be used to redirect to the page of Swami Pranavananda (Bharat Sevashram Sangha). BengaliHindu (talk) 09:39, 10 March 2013 (UTC)
Please explain/reference your understanding of The Divine Life Society (DLS) monks' naming convention. I have physical evidence of Swami Pranavanda's signature with "Swami". Likewise, I have seen evidence of other DLS monks signing their names with Swami. Even the books published by the DLS Press references the title "Swami" in all publications. I am curious about your view though because I've not come across it before. Msankarramiah (talk) 15:54, 16 June 2019 (UTC)--Msankarramiah (talk) 15:54, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
