Prayer Translation
editMy Sanskrit may not be best... but where are the words "O Lord" in the prayer, or the "Let there be" part before "peace"? I presume the latter to be just a translation of the intent (and the context), but the "O Lord" invocation translation part seems to be incorrect. --82.139.47.117 17:26, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Exactly, there is no mention of a Lord to which this prayer is addressed to.
I would like to see the specific Rig Veda citation for the much-revered prayer, shown here, which begins with "Asato maa sad-gamaya..." When time permits I will find the citation and add it in, if no one else gets to that task before me. Savitr108 (talk) 18:23, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Latest addition to lead section - types of prayer
editI saw that Dr.Sanjivani Shripad Nerkar added some information to the lead section. I thought the original tone of the edit did not match the article super well, so I tried to make it more consistent. I wanted to keep the section about the types of prayer, but there are still a lot of specific terms in there which warrant translation. Radioactivated (talk) 06:05, 4 October 2021 (UTC)
Really hard to read
editI cannot improve the readability of this article because I do not know enough about it. However, I am finding it very hard to read and it uses colloquial phrasing which I am not familiar with. I really hope someone with clear writing skills, and knowledge of the subject, can tidy it up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 222.153.110.33 (talk) 07:49, 28 June 2022 (UTC)
