Feedback from New Page Review process

edit

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Don’t copy-paste whole paragraph contents from a single source, but otherwise good work!.

@Tigraan It was literally translated from the Italian Wikipedia article. 142.181.72.25 (talk) 11:23, 31 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
If it’s a translation of the Italian article it’s still a copyvio. The paper cited is from 2013 (and it’s where the copyvio comes from.) The Italian article is from 2020. Stop removing the tag. PRAXIDICAE💕 11:56, 31 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
But you were reverting my edits when I was adding the categories. 142.181.72.25 (talk) 20:23, 31 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
you were repeatedly removing the revdel template, so yeah. Don't do it again. PRAXIDICAE💕 20:23, 31 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Why are you calling categories copyvio? It makes no sense. Patachonica (talk) 17:39, 9 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
If I remember correctly, the content I removed contained three consecutive sentences that matched word-for-word the article text. I find it hard to believe that happened despite a roundtrip of English to Italian and back translation, though I suppose that is possible with a highly technical text and machine tools. Note that it would be a copyright violation even if the sentences were slightly modified. TigraanClick here for my talk page ("private" contact) 09:03, 1 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
