Talk:Presidency of Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq

Article requires renaming as the dictatorship of Zia-ul-Haq

edit

This article needs to be renamed because Zia-ul-Haq was a vicious military dictator. Using the word presidency to describe his rule makes him sound extremely bureaucratic and banal. You wouldn't find an article talking about the presidency of Augusto Pinochet or the chancellorship of Adolf Hitler. You wouldn't talk about the "premiership" of Mussolini or Francisco Franco either because those two may have held that position in their country, but they were still the dictators of their country. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 39.56.35.34 (talk) 19:36, 13 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

article is a mess but I hope to add cites and salvage it, if only as a much shorter work. --BoogaLouie (talk) 18:49, 20 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
