22nd Amendment
editNot quite certain as to how to word it, but the 22nd amendment doesn't limit a US President to two terms. It actually limits them to two and a half terms (i.e 10 yrs), which is how it would've prevented T. Roosevelt from seeking a second full term. GoodDay (talk) 05:11, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
- It's not even clear that there's a ten-year limit. The amendment only talks about being elected president, so there's a serious debate among scholars about whether or not someone who's already served ten years could ascend to the presidency if the current president left office and they were next in the line of succession.
