Station name
editAs far as I know, the official name for this station is still "Prestwick International Airport", with no Glasgow prefix, despite the airports name. Therefore I think the previous article name should be kept. Of course if it has officially changed I would happily embrace the new station name. --Dreamer84 22:09, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- I believe you are correct, so have removed the 'Glasgow' prefix and moved the page accordingly. Grampiantelevision 00:29, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- I used the station today, and noted that the signs now read "Glasgow Prestwick Airport". Signalhead 21:03, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
- Good work in providing the picture of the station signs and updating / moving the article. --Stewart 14:27, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- The new signage now reads Prestwick International Airport, so I'm moving the article to reflect that. Bui (talk) 15:36, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

Glasgow Prestwick Airport railway station → Prestwick International Airport railway station – New official name of railway station – Bui (talk) 15:47, 30 August 2016 (UTC)

- Do you have a source that indicates this? Also, what about the page Glasgow Prestwick Airport? It's unclear if this satisfies WP:NAMECHANGES at the moment. — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 18:29, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Bui and Andy M. Wang: Yes, the station is formally called the proposed name, both by National Rail and at the station itself. For context, the article had been moved twice in the past between the two names because of different signage used. The proposed name is the current name and is unlikely to change anytime soon. Glasgow Prestwick Airport is irrelevant, as that is the airport itself, not the railway station. Bui (talk) 18:46, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
