- @CipherSleuth thanks so much for doing this review. I'm currently away on holiday in The Netherlands for a week so will get this sorted on my return! Lankyant (talk) 20:50, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- Sounds good and no rush at all. CipherSleuth (talk) 21:00, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Lankyant I recently was a bit WP:BOLD and performed some perfunctory edits in terms of resolving quick grammar issues if that's alright with you. I'll go ahead and see if I can do a bit more and will mark what is done. Dcdiehardfan (talk) 03:23, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Dcdiehardfan That's great! I appreciate the help thank you so much, feel free to continue Lankyant (talk) 11:31, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
- @DcdiehardfanThanks for your work on addressing the points I raised. The article looks close to passing. CipherSleuth (talk) 17:51, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- @CipherSleuth Of course, it's an honor! I believe that as of now, everything should be addressed/taken care of, and if you feel there are any other issues that need further clarification or modifications, feel free to let me know. :) -Dcdiehardfan (talk) 01:08, 7 February 2024 (UTC)

edit- In the last sentence of the first paragraph, there is ambiguity regarding the pronoun ‘they.' The phrase 'destroying the buffalo they rely on for survival' could be interpreted as either the Comanche or the fur traders relying on the buffalo.
- There is a sentence in the introduction discussing the dubbing of 'remaining sequences' into Comanche that I think is unclear. It would be helpful to specify what these 'remaining sequences' are. Do this sentence mean the rest of the film that was initially shot in English?
Development and casting
edit- Should the phrase "an attempt at given a full movie" be "an attempt at giving a full movie"?
- Done
- "an attempt at given a full movie" → "an attempt at giving a full movie"
- Done
- I don’t understand the following sentence; can you please clarify: 'Prey had been the first title Trachtenberg pitched, as "a mirror to the main franchise" while having the same double meanings as Predator had.'
- Comment: Tried to fix, not sure if that's the actual intent -Dcdiehardfan (talk) 03:31, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
- Fixed After reading the source, I have reworded this part, hopefully this makes more sense. -Dcdiehardfan (talk) 01:42, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- I also am having trouble figuring out the meaning of this sentence: "The early 18th century concept was a reference to the embroidered gun given to Mike Harrigan's character at the end of Predator 2, although it was not expected to correlate to the events of the prior installment."
- Comment: Ditto as above -Dcdiehardfan (talk) 03:31, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
- Removed Couldn't find any mention of this in the cited source. -Dcdiehardfan (talk) 01:42, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
Filming
edit- This sentence could use clarification: “Midthunder had a particular focus on axe throwing, which led to her and Trachtenberg adding a rope for quick recovery.” I see from the source that a rope was tied to the end of the axe so that MidThunder could quickly get it back after throwing it, but that’s not clear when reading. The detail about the rope also seems trivial.
- Partly done I didn't remove it but reclarified the prose. I would perhaps contend that could potentially be useful info considering it provides additional context on the weapons training -Dcdiehardfan (talk) 03:31, 5 February 2024 (UTC)
- Cutter considered the most difficult scene to film was the sequence… → Cutter found the scene where the Predator engages in a fight with the French trappers to be the most challenging to film...

Historical accuracy
editConsider making modifying this sentence: ‘Curran added that the film makes traditional Comanche gender roles "central to its story", writing that, in Comanche culture, men took on more physical roles as hunters and warriors, while women served as caregivers who oversaw homes, children, and food preparation.’ Curran’s point is that the female protagonist in this movie subverts the traditional roles in Comanche culture, but that doesn’t come across the way it is currently written.

Critical response
edit- Were they any negative reviews? All the excerpts and reviews currently written in this section are positive–– some criticism of the film could make the section feel more balanced. Granted, there may not be many criticism of the film, given that it was so well received.
- Working I am trying to find more critical reviews in order to maintain WP:NPOV here. I should be able to find some in a bit.
- Fixed I added an NYT review that was mixed and a Slant Magazine review that was definitely negative. I looked around and found that there was very little negative reviews, so inserted what I could. Nevertheless, hopefully it's a bit more balanced. -Dcdiehardfan (talk) 01:08, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
- For some reviews, the maximum number of stars possible is given (e.g., “In a 3.5 out of 4 star review…” or “…Empire rated the movie 4 out of 5 stars…”). However, in some instances, no maximum is given. For example, “Clarisse Loughrey gave the film 4 stars…”. The reader doesn’t know whether that is 4 out of 4 or 4 out of 5. I suggest consistently giving the max when giving the rating.

Accolades
editTable is in compliance with MOS:TABLES.
Future
edit- I suggest making the heading more informative; how about "Future films", "Future adaptations", "Future installments".... etc.?
- Done
- Readers may not understand the reference to "pirate in this sentence": In August, Bennett Taylor expressed interest in reprising his role as Raphael Adolini as "the pirate he is" in a potential prequel to Prey
- Fixed Streamlined the prose for further clarity -Dcdiehardfan (talk) 01:42, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- Delete the word "notably" from this sentence: Production Weekly notably listed a follow-up project is currently in development. Per MOS:EDITORIAL (this is a word to watch).

Sources
editAll sources numbers are from this version. I randomly spot checked the following: #3, #11, #15, #44, and #79.
- Source #3: Checks out.
- Source #11 (Twitter) is a social network. These are generally supposed to be avoided WP:TWITTER, expect in limited circumstances (e.g., there is no reasonable doubt as to its authenticity, it does not involve claims about third parties etc.). It looks like this probably okay to cite, but it would be preferable if we could find a secondary source that cites the tweet (I did find one article that references the tweet from a site called MovieWeb and CBR: https://movieweb.com/predator-movie-announcement-surprise-disney-dan-trachtenberg/. https://www.cbr.com/predator-5-surprise-release/. I don't know if those two websites are reliable sources, but perhaps you are familiar or can find better source).
- Replaced All Twitter sources have been replaced, CBR and MovieWeb are both reputable sources. -Dcdiehardfan (talk) 01:42, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
