PLO or Fatah
editWhy is Abbas referred to as PLO wheras Qorei is referred to as Fatah? AndrewRT 17:58, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
Haniyah / Fayyad
editWhy do we say that Haniyah "refuses to acknowledge legitimacy of dismissal" but not that Fayyad "refuses to acknowledge illegitimacy of appointment"? Fayyad was brought in by Abbas unilaterally suspending the Palestinian constitution, an act without precedent or legal basis and clearly beyond his authority. Eleland 19:27, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Split
editIt seems to me that at this point, that from this article we should split into another article named Prime Minister of the Gaza Strip (per Ahram, Telegraph). It has been 5 and a half years since the split of the Palestinian Authority between Fatah (West Bank) and Hamas (Gaza Strip), and while the Fatah administration is widely recognized as PNA (or State of Palestine) and referred as such by the media and international organizations, the Hamas is referred as a separate Gaza Strip, even though both claim to be "legitimate PNA". Hence to prevent confusion we should have the second article of the PM of the Gaza Strip per WP:Commonname. Please vote support or oppose.Greyshark09 (talk) 22:16, 3 January 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose per Al Ameer son's statement at Template_talk:Cities_in_the_Palestinian_National_Authority_areas#PNA_vs._Hamas. This wouldn't reduce confusion it would increase it. Emmette Hernandez Coleman (talk) 14:28, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
Is Rami Hamdallah Independent or member of the Fatah party?
editMany sources say he claims himself to be "Independent" [1], however, Aljazeera claim him to be a member of the Fatah party [2]...? which source is correct? caus ther is a need to update the "List of Prime ministers" according to the correct source ...?? --Midrashah (talk) 14:45, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
The BBC states he is an independent. [3]David O. Johnson (talk) 04:35, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- Ok' Thank you! I will update the list. --Midrashah (talk) 09:17, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
job title update needed?
editPresumably this has been discussed before...but if he is the PM of the S. of P., why is the article labelled PM of the PNA? Shouldn't it be updated? Frenchmalawi (talk) 12:24, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
